4th of July
It feels surreal that it is almost July 4th! It kind of feels like 2020 just started but it also feels like it’s been years. Although there won’t be any big parties celebrating the 4th this year, we can all still get outside and grill and celebrate America from the comfort of our homes! Here are some of my favorite 4th of July recipes:
Apps:
- Jalapeno Poppers: trust me, you will LOVE these!
- Peach Puff Pastry Pizza: perfect way to use those ripe peaches that are in season right now
- Ham and Cheese Sliders: insanely decadent and delicious
Sides:
- Creamy Potato Salad: classic side dish for a BBQ
- Spicy Corn: super easy and just a little more special than corn with butter
- Peach and Burrata Salad: my favorite summer salad
- Watermelon Mint Salad: light, refreshing and perfect for summer
- Sun Dried Tomato Pasta Salad: easy make ahead dish
- BEST Caesar Salad: the dressing is my MIL’s recipe and it is the best dressing in the world
- Grilled Summer Veggies: super healthy and delicious
- Corn and Avocado Salad: another crowd pleaser
- Citrus Caprese Salad: a fun and sweet twist on a classic Italian dish
Mains:
- Teriyaki Tri Tip: my Husband’s favorite thing to grill
- Short Ribs: if you’d rather cook inside than grill, short ribs are the way to go
- Salmon with Mango and Avocado Salsa: a lighter healthier 4th BBQ option
Desserts:
- Summer Berry Trifle: I make this every 4th of July
- White Chocolate Strawberry Tart: just as delicious as it is beautiful
- Apple Pie: a classic
- Butterscotch Apple Crisp: serve with vanilla ice cream and feel like a hero
- Almond Cookies: would be so cute with red, white and blue sprinkles
- Lemon Cake: super easy and rich yummy cake
- Seven Layer Bars: you’ve been warned that these are addicting
