Superfood Smoothie

Smoothies are my favorite way to start the day. I have one every weekday morning for breakfast. It gives me tons of vitamins and nutrients and keeps me full until lunch. Sometimes, I like to switch it up (try my fav green smoothie here) but this Superfood Smoothie is the one that I make 95% of the time. It is jam-packed with antioxidants from the spinach, wild blueberries and cacao powder. It’s also full of potassium from the banana and Vitamin E from the almond milk. It is SO delicious and actually tastes indulgent! I love Trader Joe’s and buy all the smoothie ingredients there (always organic by the way) but you can also find these items at your standard grocery store.


  • 1 cup packed spinach
  • 1 banana (preferably frozen)
  • ¾ cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Cacao nibs for garnish (optional)


Place all the ingredients in a high-powered blender (I’m obsessed with the Ninja and its on sale right now in the link below!) and blend until smooth.
