It’s Christmas Eve! Tonight is one of my favorite nights of the year. My family always goes to church together and then we have a big family dinner. Every year, I like to make a fun and festive cocktail. This year, since I’m pregnant I decided to come up with a nonalcoholic version as well! Here are both recipes. Merry Christmas!

Serves 1

Ingredients:

Cocktail

  • 2 oz white hot chocolate
  • 1 oz milk
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz peppermint schnapps
  • candy canes, crushed
  • white chocolate syrup

Mocktail

  • 2 oz white hot chocolate
  • 2 oz milk
  • 1 oz peppermint creamer
  • candy canes, crushed
  • white chocolate syrup

Directions:

To prepare the glass, drizzle white chocolate syrup on a plate. Then put a handful of crushed candy canes on a separate plate. Place your glass (I like to use martini glasses for this) rim side down onto the syrup and coat the whole rim. Then dip the rim into the crushed candy canes.

To make the cocktail or mocktail, fill a cocktail shaker halfway up with ice. Add all the ingredients to the shaker. Cover with the lid and shake! Pour into the prepared glass and enjoy.
